75% of the people say the worst thing about their job is their boss!
I find it hard to believe that 75% of the bosses want to be lousy bosses. Unfortunately, in most cases we throw them into leadership roles and they either sink or swim as leaders. We set them up to fail; in some cases miserably. The byproduct of this failure is often poor employee retention.
I had a boss who once said, “If you want to have a thoroughbred horse run well, you need to feed it oats.” Leaders are the same way! If we want them to succeed we need to feed them oats. To find out what those “leadership oats” are, check out this weeks employee retention video.
