This employee retention consultant and employee retention speaker is reading a book by Brian Johnson called Arete. Brian can best be described as a modern-day philosopher who talks about being the best person you can be. I was reading a section where he talks about “bring it on.” He talks about not shying away from tough challenges and to embrace them with energy and determination. All too often, people shy from challenges for a variety of reasons. This employee retention expert sees this quite often when it comes to employee retention.

We are now in 2025. My question to the people reading this is…have you decided to step up to your employee turnover yet? It’s time to stop thinking about doing so and instead to start doing. If you don’t track employee turnover, it’s time to start. If you do track employee turnover, it’s time to analyze it and take aim at the most problematic areas in your organization. I will guarantee you there is low hanging fruit that, if focused on, can be addressed and save your organization money and eliminate disruption to your business.

“Bring It On.”

One of the best ways to determine why you are losing people. Ask your people…NOW! Talk to a few of your new hires that have stayed with the organization about what you could have done better in the first six months and why they think some of their new co-workers quit. This employee recruitment expert has found this to be incredibly insightful. It also helps to drive employee engagement. The key is to act and not be worried about what will probably be very hard to hear.

“Bring It On.”

Lastly, start doing something with the knowledge you have acquired. ACT! All too often, we have information, know there is a problem and then we sit on our hands and do nothing. 2025 is the time to start taking action.

“Bring It On.”
